Need for change

Since I was a child, I enjoyed rearranging the furniture in my room every now and then. These small changes were like fresh air. My room would look like a completely new place!

Now that I am older, I still like to shake up things a bit every once in a while. My excuse is that research says that changes keep your mind active, but really I just get bored when the routine settles for too long.

But it’s one thing to rearrange a few pieces of furniture. It's another thing to make big changes in life that take you far from what is familiar to you, from your routine.

Have you ever experienced the following sequence of feelings? An initial desire for change, followed by the excitement for a new opportunity which slowly will leave space for the fear of instability for the unknown.

From here I think you could either succumb to your fears and go back to your routine, or you could embrace this feeling and jump.
